Things may not look good today, but if you dedicate yourself to ANY process you will receive a beautiful blessing!

Our Story 

Beauty Be Natural Co. was founded by India Shaw, a passionate individual whose lifelong fascination with hair and dedication to its care led to the creation of a remarkable brand. India's journey began when she was just a young girl, observing her stepmother and other women in her family as they practiced various hair styling techniques. This early exposure ignited her own interest in hair, and she soon began experimenting with these styles on her little sister.

In the 7th grade, India's passion for hair took an educational turn when she chose to explore the legacy of Madam C.J. Walker for a Black History Month science project. With her aunt's assistance, they delved into research and even created their own shampoo and hair grease from melted lard. This project not only earned her an "A" grade but also provided a deeper understanding of Madam C.J. Walker's inspiring story.

As India continued to hone her hairstyling skills, she extended her services to friends and family. During high school, she had the privilege of working with Joseph & Garvin, highly respected hair stylists, who imparted both professional styling techniques and the essential principles of proper hair care.

Despite her love for all things hair-related, India realized that her true passion lay in health science. She pursued a major in health science during high school, and this fascination continued through college, where she earned a bachelor's degree in nursing. Her nursing background emphasized the importance of research and provided a solid foundation in scientific knowledge, which she later applied to her growing interest in hair care.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, India decided to embark on her natural hair care journey. Over the next two years, she conducted extensive research, experimenting with numerous brand products as well as her own homemade recipes. Her discoveries were astounding, as she witnessed the remarkable results that natural herbs and oils had on her hair's health, strength, and length. These findings led her to incorporate these natural ingredients into her weekly hair regimen. She also shared her hair recipes with family and friends, who also experienced positive transformations.

All of these experiences lead to the creation of Beauty Be Natural Co. The brand's primary goal is to help people embrace and enhance the beauty of their natural hair. Every product offered by Beauty Be Natural Co. is carefully crafted, featuring a selection of incredible natural herbs and oils designed to nourish and celebrate the inherent beauty of one's hair. India's unique journey, blending her nursing expertise with her passion for hair care, has resulted in a brand that empowers individuals to "Fall in Love with their God Given Strands".

India’s journey in developing Beauty Be Natural is not just about hair care; it's rooted in a powerful and inspiring message. During her talk with God he told her that the brand's mission should be to encourage people to embrace their natural beauty, to love themselves just as I made them, and to recognize the unique beauty in every individual. This message carries a profound reminder that we are all created in the likeness of God and possess our own distinct and inherent beauty.

In addition to that God also told India to not only create a business that would benefit her and her family but also extend its prosperity to multiple families. This commitment to sharing the brand's success and providing entrepreneurial opportunities is a testament to her vision of creating a positive impact on a wider community.
